Pictures loading with question marks

Lately whenever I load websites like pinterest or netflix the pictures never load. Instead blue boxes with white question marks load. My sister has a mac as well and this has been happening to her too. How do i fix this?

HI Alyssaa ...

Several things to try ...

Make sure: Display images when the page opens is selected in Safari > Preferences > Appearance

Empty the Safari cache more often. From the Safari menu bar top of your screen, click Safari > Empty Cache

If that didn't help, back to the menu bar, click Safari > Preferences then select the Privacy tab.

Click: Remove All Website Data

Quit thren relaunch Safari.

If that didn't work, open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar top of your screen click Go > Go to Folder

Type this exactly has you see it here:

~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db

Click Go

Move the Cache.db file to the Trash.

Try Safari.

I was having this problem just now. Updated my Java, Flash and OSX updates..nothing helped. It was happening on Safari and Firefox. The solution for me was going into Onyx, and under the 'Cleaning' icon, I ticked the checkboxes for Browser Cache, Download Cache, Browser History, Recent Searches, Web Page Previews and then pressed the Execute button. Fixed the problem. Onyx is a free utility, you can google it or get here http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/11582/onyx
