Q: Up to how many airport express base stations can i connect to my primary time capsule to extend the range of my wifi network?

Hello everyone. Up to how many airport express base station(not the new one) can i connect to my primary time capsule in order to extend the range of my wifi network?

    Depends on how they're connected. If they're wired to the TC as in a roaming network, there is no published limit other than the TC's stated 50 client maximum and wireless spectrum limitations in general.

     

    If you're asking about a "wirelessly extended" network, only an Express that is connected to the TC will allow wireless clients. The first one of them that is also an Express will not serve any additional wireless clients. There is no practical limit to the number of Express clients that can connect directly to the TC though, other than the alleged 50 client limit again (which, by the way, I understand may be exceeded anyway).

     

    Does that make sense?
