Sep 22, 2012 6:37 AM in response to silvadby Copious Ken,I have the same problems as all stated above. Ocurred after my upgrade to mountain lion, iOS6 and upgrade of iphoto. It must be mountain lion, or the latest iphoto upgrade. Havne't been able to solve it yet.
I can note that before I rebuilt the iPhoto database when I selected syning photos in itunes the amount of space remaining on my iPhone would change to indicate the iphone was completely empyty. After rebuilding the database the amount of space remaining onf the phone doesn't chagne at all, so something changed, but nothing problem still persists. CAn't sync my iphoto library to my phone. Pretty darn annoying.

Sep 22, 2012 6:45 AM in response to Copious Kenby Shuka,Hi Ken:
I too files a report on the iPhoto feedback page. If you have the time please do so also - hoping that it will make the developers at Apple do something about it.
Have nice weekend

Sep 22, 2012 7:21 AM in response to Shukaby Michael Duffy1,I'm just adding my name to the list. After iOS 6 and the latest Mountain Lion and iPhoto upgrade, I can't sync photos anymore. The "selected" option is greed out.

Sep 22, 2012 7:30 AM in response to Michael Duffy1by A.Fabio,So did I !!! The more feedback they get the quicker they will fix. ...reading the earlier blogs an identical thing happened when iTunes was upg to 9.x and apparently Apple fixed the bug without any updates

Sep 22, 2012 8:31 AM in response to silvadby wjtaggart,It isn't mountain lion. I don't have it. The common thing seems to be the most recent iPhoto update, 9.4
Tried rebuilding library, deleting ipod cache, restarting iphone (4s, with iOS6), itunes doesn't see the photo library ("no events" in the greyed out box).

Sep 22, 2012 10:22 AM in response to silvadby Stan @ Allegiance Door,I am having the same problem. I am still on Lion (10.7.5) and iOS 5 (due to the map fiasco in iOS 6). I am pretty certain it is the iPhoto 9.4 update I did yesterday.

Sep 22, 2012 10:39 AM in response to A.Fabioby Michael Duffy1,Check out this thread: https://discussions.apple.com/message/19675108#19675108
It has something to do with ampersands in the album slideshow music, if you can believe it. It seems to have fixed the issue for me.

Sep 23, 2012 5:02 PM in response to Hilary Bowersby Hilary Bowers,Fixed!! The fix suggested here did not work (changing the music in the slideshow) but deleting the actual slideshow did. So if the first doesn't work.... So I am presuming that there was a problem with this ancient slideshow. very very stupid.

Sep 23, 2012 9:16 PM in response to Hilary Bowersby Copious Ken,I just deleted all of my slideshows. There really aren't needed anymore since you can play slideshows from albums. Anyway, problem solved. Syncing now works. Thanks all for the help.

Sep 25, 2012 2:52 PM in response to Copious Kenby wjtaggart, yep -- sad little fix, but a fix, nonetheless. Deleted all mine (losing a neato title slide in the process, but oh, well), and syncing as we speak.
Thanks, all

Sep 26, 2012 9:11 AM in response to Copious Kenby Copious Ken,OK, I spoke to soon. Maybe I have more problems then everyone else. I realize now that even though it syncs and everything appeared to be OK about 20% of my photos randomly will not transfer. I have tried over and over and even tried sync'ing by specific album, but whichever way I do it the same random photos do not sync. For example I have an album with 84 photos, but only 36 sync'd. There is no particular pattern I can find as to why some photos are snyc'ing and others are just missing. When it sync's it says the number of photos it is sync'ing from the main library, but when I check on my phone it's short about 1000 photos. There are a random number missing from most of my albums.
Anyway I gave up with this iPhoto update. I reloaded my old library and the last version of iPhoto from Time Machine and everything immediately sync'd perfectly. No errors, and no photos missing.
It didn't seem the update was a big deal anyway. I rather have my photos on my phone; that's the whole point of buying all Apple isn't it; so all your stuff is easily sync'd across all devices?
Good luck everyone. I hope I'm the only one with these additional problems.

Sep 28, 2012 11:46 PM in response to silvadby KATSINGS,I had mostly the same problem as you and, thanks to these great comments, fixed the problem by deleting my slideshows from iPhoto (you would thiink they'd work on that issue in some sort of update). It does work and it seems all the photos I chose have been synced.
