Q: iPhoto isn't connecting to my canon 7d anymore. Latest update 10.7.4. It was working just fine and now I have to use a card reader to import pictures. iPhoto help isn't providing any help. Does anyone cows what I can try?

iPhoto isn't connecting to my canon 7d anymore. Latest update 10.7.4. It was working just fine and now didn't recognise it anymore. I have to use a card reader to import pictures. iPhoto help isn't providing any help. Does anyone kows what I can try? In About this MAC details appears the canon as connected to the USB bus but that's it. It's not the camera because everything just works fine with my macbook at work also 10.7.4.

    Two things to try

Get the photos off the card and use the camera to reformat it

With the camera connected verify that it is in mass storege mode

Thank you very much for your reply Larry. Unfortunately your first suggestion made no difference and the second one is hard to figure out. After some research in my cameras manual and settings and an intensive search on the internet it appears that the canon 7d has none mass storage mode.

As I pointed out before it just makes me wonder that everything works just fine on my mac book pro with exactly the same software upgrades.

    Thanks again.

    Regards,

    Roland
