Wi-Fi help??

I can`t connect to my Wi-Fi using an Apple Ipod Touch 1st generation,it keeps on saying unable to connect to the network and all i get at the top of he Ipod is the word Ipod,can anybody help?

- Reset the iPod. Nothing is lost

Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears

- Power off and then ack on the routr

- Go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings

- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections

- Does the iPod successfully connect to other networks?

- Do ther devices succesfullly connect to the network?

- Try restoring yu iPod. First from backup and if problem persists, restore to factory defaults/new iPod.

- Last is to make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.
