May 14, 2014 11:17 AM in response to Jontoporby Claidheamdanns,I just asked Siri: "Siri, do you speak Russian?"
Siri's reply was: "I speak Cantonese, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, and Spanish … so far. If you want to change the language I speak and understand, you can do that in Siri settings."

May 14, 2014 12:06 PM in response to Tom Geweckeby Claidheamdanns,I know, I just thought it would be interesting for Siri itself to get it's own 2¢ worth in here.
It is interesting, though, to note that in 2 years since this discussion ended Russian has still not been added as a supported language — especially in light of it's place in language usage by percentage of world population: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_languages_by_number_of_native_speakers

May 14, 2014 1:53 PM in response to Claidheamdannsby KiltedTim,Russian may be high on the list of languages used by world populations, but it is very low on the list of languages used by iPhone buyers.
Developing language support requires money. I can guarantee you that any sane business person is going to spend money developing for the market where they will make the most money first.
