Q: Finding iTunes songs on your PC

Does anyone know where, on a PC, that iTunes stores the songs we upload?

I am trying to use the "Audacity" software to merge songs that have been split in-half. BUT, I need to find the song halves to import them into Audacity.

The default location is in the iTunes folder, in media folders. If you have changed the default they could be anywhere.

Don't put an email address in your posts unless you want to invite spammers to grab it.

Are you positive these songs have been split? That would be very unusual. Some people havebeen having problems with songs not playing completely, but that is an iTunes issue (and maybe cured with the newest release -- are you up to date?)

Thanks for the reply! But, can you give me the EXACT hierarchy to find the files? I haven't changed anything, so the files should be wherever iTunes puts them. Since I have to look for a spefic place using Audacity, I will need to know the exact place. Treat me like I know little about PC's -- i.e go to Desktop/C/Program files/Itunes etc.

By the way, the issue with split songs came from my CD-recorder -- it is very hard to set the timing on it, where it recognizes one track from another. What it was doing was interpreting a slight pause as a new song, so I ended up with two or three separate tracks in one song.

Finally, thanks for the hint about listing my email address, I didn't think of that.
