I am syncing my iPhone with an exchange server. How do I mark calander appointments from here as work?

Are you asking how to add a calendar entry to the exchange calendar instead of the calendar on the device?

No. Sorry I wasn't more clear. The appointments which sync to my phone from the exchange server I would like to have them show up under the work calendar.
If you've got multiple caleandars set up on the device, they should be color code (i.e. the events should be color coded) depending on which calendar they actually belong to.
They are currently all falling under the same color.
That would indicate that there is only one calendar on the device. If there were multiple calendars then there would be color distinctions.
If you really want to distinguish, I'd suggest removing your personal appointments from your work calendar and keeping them in Google or iCloud and then syncing to the device.
That sounds logical. Currently I have my personal appointments on my MAC at home which I sync with. And then the work comes from the Exchange server. They are then all lumped under the same catergory.
Try this...
Open the calendar app.
Select "Calendars" in the upper left.
Do you have multiple calendars listed?
If so, are they all the same color?
Colors can be changed from here by selecting the calendar and then the color of your choosing from the available options.
