deleting from dashboard, managing dashboard

Press the "+" symbol in the lower left. You can manage widgets from here. To remove one click the "x" by the widget.

I am having the same problem, but when I click the - in the lower left corner, all of my widgets have an X appear except for the one I need to get rid of. I accidently added a photo somehow to my dashboard, which wouldn't be a problem except for it never leaves, even when my dashboard is closed it is still locked on my screen, blocking things from sight. How can I get rid of this?? It is really frusturating.
