How do I make a flow chart in pages

Pages can be used to make flow charts if you don't have anything better. Simple ones are no problem. Complicated ones will set you looking for a dedicated flowchart program.

Use the Shapes menu to add lines and shapes to your page. I think you will find it easiest to work in a Page Layout template for this. The 2-D shapes allow typing within the shape.

are your answers for iOS or desktop version of pages?

I dont think that iOS pages has page layout mode, and there is no insert menu and no inspector to speak of.

for doing flow charts on my ipad(s) chose to go with fairly inexpensive alternate apps that are made just for that kind of thing. Most can export as a picture that can be dropped into your pages documents.

Pages can be somewhat difficult to work with when creating flowcharts. As a Mac user, Lucidchart works really well for me. It's super intuitive. https://www.lucidchart.com/pages/flowchart-for-mac

This pretty much solved my needs. Basically i my flowcharts are not static images vs. interactive flowchart but this app represents info. quite nicely.

They are talking about the desktop version of Pages.

For flowcharts in iOS, try this app: Grafio Lite - Diagrams & Ideas Business.

To link textboxes or shapes, select two (only 2):

Menu > Insert > Connection Line

The line and end points are set in:

Inspector > Graphic > Stroke > Line/Endpoints
