My email application is not working ok...it say: cannot get mail...connection to server failed. How can a I solve th problem?

Are you sure the name of the incoming server is correct, the password is correct, and are SSL and the port set to the right values?

Yes my password and name are correct. It is happing for both icloud and hotmail. The email worked until this morning.
I try to fetch manually and it appear the same notificaction. All other applications and internet are working ok.
There have been a couple of people recently with email that suddenly stops working, solution seems to be to delete the account and then recreate the account. You might try that with one of the accounts and see if it works for you. If so, then do the other account also.
I did it and the hotmail account is still not working. But now all my contcts are deleted even in icould. Now no email nor any contacts..any idea how to sync my contacts

When you setup hotmail email on the phone it prompts you if you want to sync contacts, calendars, etc.
Thats what I did but it pops a message that says can not conect to mail...I have no idea why therefore cant get my contcts nor email.

That's odd. only other thing I can suggest is do a reset all settings and see if that does anything. (Settings > General > Reset all settings
