I just installed the update 2.2.2 using Lion OSX 10.7.4, and it keeps crashing as soon as I press play on a song. Every once in a while it will work, and then crash again and again, Please help.

You should use the 'Provide MainStage Feedback' item in the app menu and send the crash log in so that they can look at it.
sorry to disturb, where can you download and install the update 2.2.2 please chilivemusic? i still have crashing problem after downgrading to 10.4, wonder if 2.2.2 can really help! thanks in advance!!
Well, 2.2.2 is a purchase upgrade from Mainstage. It did not solve any problems and only created more frustration. For our application, it made sense to switch out of Mainstage altogether, and use Abelton. I wasted over $2000 on programming time and the purchase of Mainstage, because it is not yet a stable solution for many live applications.
oic... my frd suggested me to ableton too, but maybe cos i'm more familiar on mainstage's interface now, just don't really wanna figure out the whole thing on ableton again.... argh....
If you have MainStage 2.1.3 and 10.7.4 you can try removing the MIDI Activity item from the toolbar. This has helped some folks. If you have MainStage 2.2.x then the 2.2.2 update is free from the Mac App Store.
Are you running in 32-bit mode? If so, you might be running out of memory.
