Yes, please help, someone. I spent over 2 hours on the phone to Apple Support and even a supervisor could not solve the problem. He was going to ring back again tonight but am still waiting. If he has solved the problem I will re-contact here. My first book downloaded and is fine the next 3 all have the words "Paused" on the cover. Help please.
All you need to do is restart your ipad.
Same problem. I have 5 books that have been paused for weeks! I can't unpause them, I can't delete them, I've tried deleting the iBooks app, I've tried shutting down all open apps by clicking the home button twice, I've tried shutting down my iPhone, I've tried rebooting my iPhone by holding down the home button and power button at the same time.
The strange thing is all of these books that are stuck on pause on my iPhone 4S have all downloaded fine on my iPad 3.
The other strange thing is I've purchased and downloaded other books BEFORE purchasing these with no problem. I've also purchased and downloaded other books AFTER purchasing these with no problem.

I don't know if this will work since the Apple Store didn't fix it for you, but when this happened to me I signed out of my Apple ID, signed back in and the download was able to resume.
My problem is that a two part iBook downloaded doubly part one and part 2 did not download. I deflected this faulted
Download. I could not re-download. I do have my receipt.
To resume downloads after they've been paused, click on the arrow pointing downwards right next to the search bar on the top right corner.
