I'm realy worried, I realy hope they release an update or something explaining what's going on. I'm using chrome and suddenly the mac freezes, I must turn it off from the power button. Don't know what's making it freeze because I dont get any error messages. I hope we could get some official information about this issue. Not being the only one with this problem makes me feel a bit better, I'm still realy angry/dissapointed/worried.

I'm having exactly the same problem igiboi, exactly the same. I just finished a Diablo 3 session, and when I closed the game my mac froze. The other day it froze while I was using chrome and downloading diablo. The number of freezes per day has decreased since tuesday (the day i bought it) however I would like 0 freezes, imagine that you are working and it freezes? It wouldnt be nice. I hope they release a solution soon.

Hmm... i dont think most of the mbp 13" are affected, well I would have it exchanged tomorrow when I get the time. I would have to run back to bestbuy to have it swapped out to a newer one since I wanted my mbp to run flawlessly out of the box. I can't live with a computer that Im not even sure if I can rely on it. This is my 2nd mbp 13", I used to have the 2009 model and it worked great right out of the box. I even ran games on my older mbp for hours and never a prob.

Oh btw, I had tried several things to try to solve the problem.

1. I updated to 10.7.4 and still freezes when I watch netflix,use chrome/safari and play diablo 3.

2. I reinstalled OSX using cmd+r, ran 10.7.3 for a while to see if it resolved the issue, still froze while I was browsing internet.

3. Updated again to 10.7.4, still froze

4. Called Apple Support, they cant give me an answer why this is happening(he even spoke to his senior advisor according to him regarding my issue) and was told this shouldn't be happening since the computer is new and was advised to bring it back for a different mbp 13".

So I'm gonna have it swapped out tomorrow.

I read in many other posts that many other people are having this same problem. Some went to the apple store and asked for a new one, but as I live 12000Km away from where I bought it I won't be able to ask for a swap. I hope they release an update fixing this, or I'll just have to wait until the model and parts arrive here in Argentina so that they guys in the Premium reseller can fix it.
