Upgrading Library never completes

Question

Upgrading Library never completes

When upgrading to latest version upon opening ask to upgrade Library then gets to step 7 of 7 gets to 99% then never finishes. Let run all night and then force quit and let run again all day. Last night went to step 10 of 10. Second time to step 7 of 7

Aperture 3, iOS 5.1.1

After "Force Quitting" try to repair the aperture Libray before trying to upgrade:

Launch Aperture with the cmd-options-key combination (⌘⌥) firmly held down, then select "Repair Library" from the "Aperture 3 Library First Aid" panel; if "Repair" does not suffice, try "Rebuild Database".
