When ever my ipad is connected on my pc it will show another name as device, how can i change it to my name? On my ipad it is showing the given name, but on the computer under my computer, another name, Pls help.

My PC was used some time back with another Ipad to update to ios 5, since then whenever i connect my ipad to my PC, it will show me another name. The pop up page will show ipad name of the previous user, I want it change to my name on my PC. How do i go about it?

I can run iTunes on my Macintosh computer, and double-click the iPad's name under DEVICES. That lets me change the name. I do not know if it works the same on a PC or not.

On the iPad, go to Settings-General-About-Name and click the right end of the name line. This should take you to an editing screen with the keyboard, to let you change the name there.
