MBP BTO Return Policy

Hey guys,

Just wondering:

If I purchase a new custom/build to order MacBook Pro, am I able to return it?

Does it need to be unopened?

Is there a restocking fee? How much?

I'm not sure if there is a more appropriate section of the forum for this question, I didn't see a section for retail/the online store, so I figured I'd ask here in the relevant product category.

Thanks,

Tyler

If you are actually exchanging for one of the newer models, be sure to load it up at purchase with all the stuff (especially RAM memory) you might EVER need.

The RAM is clearly soldered to the board and NOT upgradeable, and there is no useable connector. Also, there are no existing third-party drives for many of the new ones. The drives situation may change over the long run, but is not the case today. In any event, future upgrades will be difficult at best.

Thanks. I went for 8GB of RAM as opposed to 16 as I mainly use it fr school work(last year of college, however its a business course, nothing computer intensive), browsing, checking email, a few light games (WoW, etc), Handbrake for converting goofy movies, etc. nothing professional.

I did however opt for the 512GB drive vs the 256 as I plan on having a windows partition, and occasionally using parallels as well.

Thanks again.
