Q: second kernel panic in 24 hours on new mba

Hello! Yesterday I've purchased my first MacBook air. This is the second crash it had in two days. The first one occured when I was watching a youtube video and the second one happened while closing Chrome (while watching a youtube video). Should I go back to the store or can I fix this myself? This is the error report it gave:

Yep. Me too. Twice in two days. Kernel panic log point to the graphics driver, but from within the Parallels VM thread.

Hi I have had two freezes in the last 24 hours and about 7 freezes since Thursday (yeah I am logging them and also looking at my console.

That's 7 since uninstalling Chrome btw - so it is not Chrome alone. I have had 4 using Firefox even after turning off graphics accleration and my last crash was browser free (no browser running at all) and happened with Lightroom 4.

I noticed another thread re freezes on the MBP 2012 citing similar problems - I wonder if it is something relating to the GPU or driver? Apparently the MBP 2012 users are waiting for a new driver too.

People at Genius Bar suggested creating a new user and seeing if this would fix problem. Will let you know if this works (hope it does)

I strongly recommend installing gfxCardStatus and use it to keep the system using only the discrete GPU. My macbook was crashing three times a day but never happend again since I've did that.

I have my brand new MacBookPro 13" and I've had kernel panic for more than 8 times, yesterday it happened 6 times. I tried all possible instructions from here, unistalled Chrome and everythng else that was not from Apple and it still continues. It doesn't really happen when I'm watching a video only, but when I was checking my doc files at Finder too. I might have to return the computer because finishing a Master thesis this way is not possible.

I have a 2-day-old MacBook Air 2013 which has suddenly started triggering crazy graphics glitches and crashing the entire system after every reboot.  Was working fine the past 2 days (but with WiFi issues -- another issue).

Here's a video to show what happens: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HoZg9kaTGpg
