It happens to me as well.

I installed the DVD for iLife '11 on my Black Macbook Running 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard).

Everything else is running smoothly (iMovie, Garageband, iWeb, etc.) The only problem is with iPhoto.

Everytime I launch it, it says: To open iPhoto, you must update to the latest software; open software update and all my software is up to date. Already tried to reinstall from the DVD but still gives me the same message.

Any help with that matter?

Thanks.

How old is your Mac? If it's very recent you need to update via the App Store

If you purchased at the App Store you need to update via the App Store

Otherwise you update via Softare Update

If you have moved iPhoto from the default location (i.e. into a Folder) then the updater won't find it. Move it back.

If you have renamed iPhoto, the updater won't find it. Change it back.
