hi, i have an airport express that always worked properly, then a week ago or so, it stoped working without a reason, the light is solid amber for like a minute, and then it flashes the green light and it goes back to amber again, and the network is not appearing, sometimes it does, but since the problem it only appeared twice, does anyone know what can i do? thank you so much!

This really is silly, but I just did the drop test and it worked a treat. Definitely a solder/circuit issue, but ****, i'll take it!
I just did this and got a green light as well. Unfortunately there is a small crack in mine. Please be carful if you do this.

Dropping once on carpet from ~3 feet height worked for me too. We should call this the Evan "Fonzie" fix.
Same here. Just a drop from a metre up onto carpet and a hit of the reset button got me back to flashing amber light, the first step to a solid green, and I am now back up and running after much frustration. If in doubt, give it a clout...

this really worked on my old 2006 airport express.
I also tried all the reset options and nothing seemed to work.
Then, dropped it from waist height, aaaand...hello green light!

I had the same problem. I tried everything and finally I was lucky to enter this forum.
I dropped into a carpet floor 2-3 times from about 1 meter and worked!!!
Unbelievable but completely true...
Well shiver me timbers. I dropped mine from 8 feet onto carpet about 3 times. Then held the reset button down while I plugged it in, then let go of the reset button after 10 seconds. Viola! Working Airport Express. Must have knocked some sense into it. 🙂
