Are iMac G4 power supplies interchangeable?

Are iMac G4 power supplies interchangeable?

I have 2 iMac G4s: an 800 MHz 15", and a 17" 1.25 GHz. The 17" power supply is bad, and I was wondering if the 15" power supply would be adequate if I stuck it in the 17" one.

Thoughts? WIll it work?

Not likely. The widescreen resolutions of the 17" would mean very different requirements for the graphics chip on the logicboard. I would enquire an authorized service provider that has been around long enough to know the difference.
