Question

how do I change my iCloud password, but not my other apple ID?

I have 2 separate Apple IDs. One for my Apple Store purchases and one for my icloud account. Apparently, my store account is my “main” account. This would make sense, because I created that one first. My problem is, I can't find any way to change my icloud password because when I go into the change password settings, on the Apple support site, it will only let me change the password to my main Apple ID.

MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2010), Mac OS X (10.7.3)

Did you try entering your .me account instead od your Apple ID?

Enter your Apple (iCloud) ID and click Forgot Password.

I myself use my gmail account for Apple ID BUT, I use my .me separately. I forgot the password for my .me account and it is not the same as my Apple ID password. How do I change the .me account password?

Yes, Apple sees that address (.me) as an Apple ID when I really really used my gmail account as an Apple ID. In other words I can sign into my Apple ID using either gmail or .me and I get the .me mail. Changing the password for my Apple ID effects both, not separate. Frustrating.

If you sign into my Apple ID, using your iCloud account Apple ID, you should be able to change the password.

Are you sure that the two IDs that you think you have, and not in fact one and the same. What makes you think that you have two Apple IDs.

Because I signed up for an Apple ID for iTunes, which is @yahoo and my icloud account is @me.

Sign in at http://appleid.apple.com with the ID you use for iCloud - if you have migrated from MobileMe this is your @me.com address.

When you say you go to the Apple support site to change your password, I assume you mean My Apple ID

If when you go to this site and log in using the .me address it brings up details for your yahoo ID, then they are just different addresses for the same ID (yahoo). Please confirm if this is the case.

My Apple ID is my gmail account. NOT, @.me account. Two separate accounts. If I change my Apple ID it will not change the password for the .me account.
