Q: How can I stop buffering?

Everytime I click on a video clip, it takes a short time to load and then it begins, after about 4 seconds it will stop and buffer. Is this to do with broadband speed or my imac?

Thanks

it's because your Internet connection can't provide the movie data fast enough for the video to play

this can be because your Internet connection is too slow

or because the Internet connection of the place you are streaming the video from is too slow

...or, sarcastically, if you are referring to youtube videos, it's mainly because google took it over and ruined it.  It was so much better before they took it over.  Now there is a lot of that rebuffering you see.

I have a 12Mbps connetion on a fast 3.33GHz mac pro and even my machine suffers from rebuffering from (mainly) youtube's.  Rearly any place else.

The only thing you can try to do is lower the resolution so instead of playing, say, 720p, try 360p.
