Viber Not Working

Dear,

I have a Prob. I cant use Viber. I have installed many time this messenger but its not wroking. I am using Updated version from Apps Store. but when i receive message its says upgrade your version to see this message. when i try to update apps with mobile and PC (itune) its says your all apps are upto date, i dont know what is the prob. This is my new mobile. please help me.

iPhone 4S, iOS 5.1.1

Thank you for the information.

Please try uninstalling Viber, rebooting your device, then reinstalling from AppStore.

Also, check iTunes and see if Viber is still shown there as an installed app after you reboot.


Moreover, make sure your contacts have the latest version of Viber installed as well.

what about Viber in Bulgaria? I can not use it currently on my ipod. I've used it for 2-3 months and it was perfect , now since 3-4 days it sends text messages, but it doesn't deliver them. Wwhat is the reason? I've got a friend in UK who has got the same issue. Please let me know what i can do besides uninstalling and reinstlling Viber. It just stopped delivering text messages 😟

It could be that the network you are connected to is blocking Viber's traffic.

1. First, please try uninstalling and reinstalling Viber when connecting to a few different WiFi networks (in order to pinpoint the source of the problem). What are the results?

2. Also, please make sure the following ports are enabled on your routers or firewalls:

TCP: 5242 + 4244

UDP: 5243 + 9785

(if you are not sure how to enable ports, you may contact your router manufacturer)

thanks for the tip! I've uninstalled and installed Viber again. Now i can send texts to certain people, but still my cousin in UK doesn't get the text messages from me..The others have recievied them. She uses 3G on her Samsung Galaxy phone. Perhaps i will try with your 2 tip to ask her to enable the ports you mentioned..will inform you what happened afterwards. thank you!
