Why is my downloaded font "greyed out"

I am wanting to add a font to my font book that I downloaded; however. when I look it up, no matter where I put it, it appears greyed out and unselectable. neddless to say, as it stands I can't add the font due to this problem. Any thoughts?

You'll need the font suitcase to go along with the PostScript Type 1 outline font(s). (The font suitcase should have an 'FFIL' icon). You'll want to import the font suitcase into Font Book, and it'll handle finding the outline fonts automatically.
