I have an Iphone 4S and had AT&T as my carrier. I moved overseas last month and AT&T sent me some software to unlock the Iphone so I could use it on a GSM network. I suspended my US based service and have yet to get a local SIM card. I've only been using my IPHONE on wireless networks - but it drains incredibly quickly. Any advice?
AT&T does not send software for iPhones and having the device unlocked does not cause a change in battery drain.
The only reason it might be draining more quickly is if there is no SIM installed or it simply is constantly searching for a cellular network but cannot connect. If you have no intention of connecting to a cellular network, put the device in Airplane mode then turn Wi-Fi on.
