I can't update to the latest version of iTunes, iPhoto & iMovie
Software update fails on all applications individually and the same updates downloaded from theApple website won't mount.
How can I fix this?

that sounds odd. At least the downlaoded dmg files should work.
So I suggest to do a general fix-up of your Mac OS X :
Use Disk Utility from the /Application/Utilities folder, select your hard drives OSX partition and run a full permission repair.
Reboot after , launch the -> Software Update and see if this now works.
If not : google for "Onyx" , a freeware system tool ( not supported by Apple of course ) which does excessive analysis and lets you empty all old caches, rebuilds launch services and more. But be careful with this tool, make sure to read the manual.
If even that's not working or if you do not feel comfortable with this, OS X might need to be reinstalled completely. You might also consider having the machine checked at a Apple Store .

iTunes updates should be automatic, and are free. For iPhoto, it is purchased software, you must have a copy of the latest version 9.x
I actualy did all this before (including Onyx - I allways have that application installed on my Mac.) writing here.
Disk Utility is telling me that there is nothing wrong with my disk, and hence it is not fixing anything.
Onyx agrees with Disk Utility on this but I cleaned up some general stuff anyways (now that I have it open).
I am really at a loss here, I am down to thinking maybe Apple invalidated the updates serverside (there have been some reports of krenal panic related to these updates) or maybe I got a virus on my Mac.
If anyone got some suggestions to why I am experiencing these issues please explain :-)
What are the version numbers of the applicable software?
@Lanny - post - 1
That is not the issue here, I have all licences to all applications at the latest version, the problem is that they will not update.
@Lanny - post 2
I have iTunes 10.6.1 installed and want to update to iTunes 10.6.3
I have iPhoto 9.2.3 installed and want to update to iPhoto 9.3
I have iMovie 9.0.4 installed and want to update ti iMovie 9.0.6
If you have the latest versions, why would they show the need for software updates?
Okay okay 😝 not the latest, latest version.. my bad the latest version as in I shouldn't pay to upgrade to the latest version.
iphoto 9.2.x to 9.3 and such is legitimate, free and your right to want to have them up to date .. ;-)
Correctly as given above by others you are to update them manually by either software update or web download if you own ilife11 as a DVD or if this came on restore disk with the Mac.
Apple itself sells these apps ( except iweb and iDVD ) also as individual apps on the AppStore. These are not updateable in the old fashioned terms : instead you just download always the complete app which is always the latest version.
Two things before giving up :
Check your installer certificates , look into the keychain utility, run a first aid and remove all invalid keys/certificates ( indicated by a visible red X and a notice ) from System and User Store.
- If the system installer will still not open the packages within the mounted dmgs , you can bypass it with the shareware "pacifist", an alternate installer tool.
Once again, iTunes is a free upgrade, current version (10.6.3) is also available as a download. If you have iPhoto version 8.x or earlier, you'll need to upgrade to version 9.x ($) before you'll see any available updates.

Nowhere did the OP write he has v8.x. he said he has currently iPhoto 9.2.3 and Imovie 9.0.4 - so either he has the full ilife11 suite which makes him updateable at no costs to current revisions or he has the apps from appstore wich makes him good to go for re-downloads of the now updated apps.
Okay, didn't see his previous update. He should be able to do updates.
In your User/Library folder, try deleting: com.apple.SoftwareUpdate.plist
😉
I have the iLife 11 suite 😉

The manualy downloaded .dmg(s) from http://support.apple.com/downloads/ will not even mount. I get an invalid checksum error on both iTunes, iPhoto and iMovie updates

That is not an option as I live in Denmark. Apple service is really crappy here - Apple just turns you away if you don't pay for Apple Care.

I will try both and let you know how it goes - but I have to start some cooking for the family now, so it'll be in a few hours :-)
Thanks for helfing me out guys, I really appericiate it.
I ran the first aid from Keychain Access, but it doesn't find any errors.
