Jun 16, 2012 6:55 AM in response to Romewineby King_Penguin,★HelpfulHow are the photos getting onto the card : direct from the iPad or you copying them onto it from your computer ? If you are copying them onto it then you need to create a DCIM directory off the root of the card, with the photos underneath it, and the photo filenames need to be exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension i.e. in a similar format as if a camera had created/written them.
If direct from the camera then, assuming that the kit is fully inserted into the iPad's dock, then have you tried a reset to see if it's recognised after the iPad has restarted ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Jun 16, 2012 8:16 AM in response to Romewineby Chriss78,★HelpfulAfter a lot of search I tried this: formatted the sd card (old one, 500MB !) to fat16 (i believe fat32 will work too) on my iMac using disc utility. Then i created a folder called DCIM and another folder called 100DICAM in the folder DCIM (so it is /DCIM/100DICAM). I copied some photos in the subfolder 100DICAM, but be careful here: the photos must have a name such as DSC_0001 (maximum 8 digits), followed by the .jpg
For example: DSC_0014.jpg
Unplug the sd card from your iMac card reader (or universal card reader on other PCs) and plug it in to the sd connection kit on your iPad and will work. The photo app will open automatically and you will be able to import the .jpg files to your iPad.
Hope I helped you...
