whenever I try and open iPhoto on my Macbook air, it says that it can't open until a download a software update, but then i click download update, it either says there is no update available or there s an update for garageband (but nothing about iphoto)
currently both iMovie and Garageband are both working and don't seem to require a software update, It's on version 9.0 of iPhoto right now and I'm running os x lion.

Go to http://support.apple.com/downloads/
and find the iPhoto 9.1 updater. Download and run it. Then run Software Update.
ok,thanks for the link, the lates update was 9.3 so i downloaded that, but i also went back like 10 pages and downloaded 9.1, so do i need to update to 9.1, then go from 9.1 to 9.3 or can i go straight from 9.0 to 9.3

You need to go to 9.1 first.
