How do I get someone else's music off my iPhone?

I have just wiped and re-synced back from iCloud and curious thing happened . . .

I have a ghosted album in my Music app that keeps asking me for someone else's AppleID.

I believe my friend shared this music with me several years ago which was purchased from iTunes.

It won't download it (because I don't have his password) but I can't remove it.

It doesn't show up in iTunes.

I tried logging in and out of my AppleID on my phone to no avail.

The password prompt pops up fairly often and has interrupted apps installing, music copying over, etc.

How do I remove these songs?!

I had the same issue on my ipad, where the album/ song will not download from iTunes due to being unable to enter the password required. So this is what I did...

Take any song in your iTunes that belongs to you

Right Click on the mp3 and Click Get Info,

Then Rename that mp3 to the exact same one that is trying to be downloaded, using same album name and artist.

Then copy it to your ipad, now that the song you own copied to the ipad and the song that is in gray are in the same album in the album view...

Now touch and hold with your finger on the album and it will let you delete BOTH SONGS!

Just make sure your itunes store is set to "off" on automatic downloads of music.

Took me forever to get these off of my ipad finally worked!!
