Song downloaded from iTunes to iPad will not play

Song downloaded from iTunes store will not play on iPad 2, all other song ok to play. What do I do?

iPad 2, iOS 5.1.1

I would try deleting the song, resetting the iPad and then download the song again.


To reset the iPad, press & hold the Power and Home buttons simultaneously, ignoring the red power off slider, until the Apple logo appears. Then release both buttons. This should not affect any content on the iPad, it is similar to rebooting your computer.

This usually happens when you have multiple user ids linked to your iDevice. Delete the song by swiping the finger toward left or right. Reset your iDevice by holding the power + home button together. Ignore the "slide to switch off" screen. Your device will restart and apple logo will appear. Now, download the song(s) on your mac or PC, then sync the song(s) to your iDevice. It should play fine now.
