My mac doesn't recognize my headphones. I tried checking System preferences and I've tried the PRAM and SMC resets. What do i do?

I plugged in the right jack. I use normal koss portapro headphones. They work on pc and ipad.
Humm... Look at the Audio HDMI Setup application in your Utilities Folder.
Well i've found a Audio/midi settings app in the utilities folder. No hdmi.
Still in those settings i cant find a soulution.
No red lights just to make sure you know.
Try another set of headphones or buds and then if they do not work,
reset the PRAM as per > Resetting your Mac's PRAM and NVRAM
Then if you still have no sound from the headphone jack,
seek service as per > Apple - Support - iMac - Service FAQ
