Stuck Using Motion 3

I am producing promotional content for a summer internship. My schools communications department lent me a computer, on old computer, to use for the sumer. FCP 6, Motion 3 and so on.

I have been using Motion for a few weeks with no issues. Yesterday however, motion ceased to function properly. windows do not want to open, the file borwser and inspector will not open at all, and the behaviors and filters have stopped working.

Can anyone tell me why this is happening? Could it be a licensing issue? How can I resolve this?

Any advice would be graciously appreciated.
