will they ever have a 3G ipod touch

There was a 3G (third generation) iPod. The current on is the fourth generation (4G) iPOd.

If you mean one with a cellular connection like the option avaialble with iPad, then onlyApple knows and they have not made any announcement.

This is a user-to-user forum. We are all just users like yourself. Apple does not respond in these forums.

Here's a news flash: You are never going to see either 3G or 4G cellular connectivity with an iPod because that's what the iPhones and iPads are for.

And finally, speculating about a 5th generation iPod is forbidden and quite useless. We will see a 5th gen iPod when and if Apple makes one, and not one pico-second sooner.

Guess you were wrong...iTouch5 wifi only...get a iPhone if thats what you need or want.

In referance to your question. first yes most people are probably right there will never be a ipod touch with 3g connectivity. but if you really dig deeper. apple should have a ipod touch with 3g connectivity. if your really think about the ipod touch is the little brother for the iphone. well if big brother has 3g why cant little bro have 3g connectivity to. look at it in the perspective. a lot of people like the iphone. a lot of people like the ipod touch. and most ipod touch users are kinda jelious of iphone users. we take our ipods everywhere we go but we usually cant use it. and then you got people with iphones. also think of money issues. if apple is trying to get to the younger crowd well you know for a fact no one before the age of 18 can afford a 500 dollar phone and a long contract. and also if you look at these prepaid phone service. they want 600 or 700 bucks for the phone and plan. also the economy is still not up to itself. and i know a lot of people will say but the iphone and ipod touch are built the same. that is ok i think apple should surprise people go out of the box if you say. so in conclusion i think the ipod touch should have wifi+3g. a lot of younger people would buy them and a lot of people would be happy..
