Where is iPhoto theme music located

Where is iPhoto theme music located

I am running LION with all items updated. I did install and earlier version of iDVD (v7.1.2). I am trying to find the location of 'THEME MUSIC' from the Slideshow creator in iPhoto. I've searched under all the keywords I can think of, but all the responses lead me the location of the included 'SAMPLE MUSIC', not the THEME. When I go to add music to a slideshow, I am given 4 sources of music:

SAMPLE MUSIC (has a simple folder shown with a listing of songs located in app>content>music

THEME MUSIC (shown with what looks like an old 35mm slide box) This also has a series of songs that will play

GARAGE BAND (has a guitar icon but is empty in my case)

ITUNES (with normal iTunes icon and has all my iTunes music listed)

I search the song names & artist names listed under THEME MUSIC but nothing shows.

Can anyone help with the location of this THEME MUSIC folder/list/database????

iMac (27-inch Mid 2011), Mac OS X (10.7.3), 3.4 GHz Core i7 8 GB RAM

The filenames are different from the track names 😉

Also more audio if you look in:

HD/Library/Application Support/iLifeSlideshow/V2/Audio/

easiest to get to my by

Finder>Go>Go to Folder>

/Library/Application Support/iLifeSlideshow/V2/Audio/

Thanks for the info. I had seen this location before, but never associated it with my search because the names of the files were different from what is shown in iPhoto. I dragged the file from iPhoto to desktop and saw the names change to that of the HD/Library/Application Support/iLIfe Slideshow/Audio

There are still, however, 5 songs I am unable to locate: Origami.m4a, PhotoMobile.m4a, Places.m4a, VintagePrints.m4a, and Relections.m4a

when I try a search, I am shown the desktop location I dragged the music file to. When I move a file to trash and search, I get nothing, even though I know and see it in the location you mentioned. How does one seach the library?

i can´t find the folder named: iLifeSlideshow.

Library/Application Support, and then i only find the folder named: iLifeMediaBrowser.

anyone that would help me?

Jes, but in the folder application support, i cant find iLifeSlideshow.

Any idea?

There are two Library/Application Support folders. Check both. If not there download and run this updater: iLife Support 9.0.4. It will install those components.

Hi, I have installed the latest version of iPhoto 9.5.1 and I'm looking for the exact location of the music theme called "Soft" which corresponds to a file name called "Origami2.m4a" I have found many sounds files in the "HD/Library/Application Support/iLIfe Slideshow/V2" including a file named "Origami" (not Origami2) which is the one I'm looking for. Any idea where other files related to the Slideshow theme are stored. In the above path I only have a folder called V2 (I think version 2) but I'm getting crazy finding the file I want. Even a spotlight search is giving no results, but the file plays so it should be somewhere!! Any ideas?

Andrea, that file is installed directly in the iPhoto application:

/Applications/iPhoto.app/Contents/Frameworks/iLifeSlideshow.framework/Versions/A /Resources/Content/Audio/Origami2.m4a

If you want to copy the file, open (carefully) the iPhoto application bundle by right-clicking it and use the command "Show Package Contents". Then follow the path above to the sound file.

Magazine? I don't know of an iPhoto Theme with tat name. Are you using the new Photos.app?

The theme music for Photos is in the system library, some are stored in the plug-ins::

/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/Slideshows.framework/Versions/A/Resources/Cont ent/Audio

The Magazine music is here:

/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/Slideshows.framework/Versions/A/PlugIns/OpusMa gazineProducer.opplugin/Contents/Resources/Magazine.m4a
