Album by artists won't group?

Album by artists won't group?

Hi all,

This drives me nuts with iTunes. The problem I have right now is that one album by The Clash has decided that it doesn't want to live with all the other albums by The Clash in 'Artist' view (see pic)

It's no real biggie but what is the story? I've checked & double checked all metadata through individual track & collective album 'get info' but everything is identical and they should be grouping I've had this issue before where one track refuses to join its album but never with an artist refusing to merge.

Any ideas peeps?

This worked for me:

Select all the tracks from the album

Right click, select "Get info"

Click on the "Options" tab

Select "Compilation" and toggle to "Yes"

Click OK to exit

If that worked for you, great. Otherwise the tracks are all now randomly split up. If so, repeat the same as above, but this time change the compilation toggle to "No".

Voila. Your album should now be gapless.
