Well it seems Chrome has some issues with this build of OS X. My recommendation would be to uninstall it and wait for Google to supply and update.

Yup.  I'm running into the same issue.  New 2012 MBA, Google Chrome, Unrecoverable freezes requiring a hard reboot.  Happened 3 times in 5 or so hours yesterday.

I can happily walk it up to the Apple Store and get a replacement but I don't see the point when it clearly seems like the resolution is software, not hardware based.

I'm going to utilize Firefox exclusively today (in addition to the same apps I was running yesterday) to confirm the Chrome hypothesis.

Same problem here. Froze twice since I got the computer 4 days ago. Both times I was in Chrome.

Well it seems pretty clear to avoid Chrome until Google comes out with a fix.

I saw that there was an adobe flash update today that it suppose to fix crashing in firefox.  Did anyone else notice this.

My new macbook air 13in crashed twice yesterday trying to watch the nba finals game via espn3.  Oh yeah, it was on chrome to.

Who do you think would make the update, Chrome? Adobe? Apple?

Please also mind that Chrome has Flash "inside" and doesn't require a standalone installation.

If the root of our evils is flash inside Chrome, we need to get as well an update from Google Inc.

new 5 day old Macbook Air 11in crashed >10 Xs, all while in chrome (but chrome's almost all I use on a daily basis)

My new MBA crashed for the first time yesternight. But I didn't copy the error log. I was running WinVsta on the VMFusion and a few other programs. But I have 8GB RAM, so I don't think it should be RAM. Could it be because I'm running out of disk space in the virtual machine? 2.52GB left out of 40.

I'm getting similar issues and I have never used chrome on mine, mine happens when closing and/or using Parallels.

Is it a bigger problem than we all think?

Is it the HD4000 causing the problem?

Would be nice to know especially if we all have faulty product, I don't want to miss my 14 day exchange window whilst hoping for a driver/software fix.

Same is happening to me.  Not happy but at least this means it's not a problem with only my computer.  Hopefully it's a simple update fix because I've grown rather fond of chrome.

Common issue in the new MBP mid 2012, mine freezes while playing Diablo 3 (everytime I close the game my Mac freezes). It sometimes froze while using Chrome. I believe it must be a problem related to the Intel HD 4000, I hope Apple releases an update fixing this.

Another post thinking this is an Apple issue. Each time the user says they're running Chrome. The comon thread here people is Chrome, therefore if a fix is coming I would think it would come from the developer that has the problem....in this case that is Google! Chrome is their app so the problem seems to be with Google and not Apple. Am I not getting something?

It appears that Chrome is the big culprit here, but could the new HD4000 graphics have something to do with it also.
