MacBook Pro Retina display burn-in?

I first noticed this after my MBP [Retina] had gone to sleep, but: when returning to the login screen (since I have it set to require a password whenever the computer is idle long enough) I noticed what appeared to a very faint ghosting primarily noticeable on darker backgrounds.

After messing around with it a bit, there seems to be a fairly consistent in-display ghosting that occurs without much time at all; I was able to leave my screen on (a little above half-brightness) for about 10-15 minutes and the ghosted "burn" would be of the screen I left it on (which I deliberately reconfigured so that everything would be a new position).

Has anyone else experienced this? Is this a normal thing that I just have to get used to? It's not really noticeable at all in standard use.

As promised I said I was going to post pics comparing my LG (LP154WT1-SJE1) with a 2010 macbook pro. Here are the results:

2010 MBP left < > 2013 RMBP (Late) Right

So as you can see the RMBP is definetely warmer. Has a very slight yellow tint I'd say, but definetely warmer. The RMBP looked a bit better to me than the 2010 model even if the white wasn't as bright on it.

OK, well, a better comparison would be to another Retina MacBook Pro in an Apple store because those are the actual units you could have had.

It's a shame I sold my old 2012 (samsung) RMBP on ebay a week ago. I did compare the screens briefly and I remember they did have a different whites but neither one of them truely bothered me.

Next step is the apple store, dunno if I will actually go or not but I'll try.

Shadow, if you take pictures at an Apple store, please put the "Preferences" window in focus like I did in the photograph I posted a few hours ago. The reason is that the yellowing is more obvious in the greys and will be less obvious if you just put up a white screen.

I checked DEll XPS 15 Haswell IGZO today. The color was perfect, high contrast, white like snow, color are rich BUT only at 90 degree viewing angle. If you slightly shift your head, the color will CHANGE immediately. The screen will lose color if you keep moving your head to left or right and finally you only see "NOTHING" at about 45 degree from the center. I mean "NOTHING" because the viewing angle was worse even compare to TN panel. You have only one way to get the best color is looking straight at the screen, no shifting even a couple degrees.

Just sent my rMBP for a screen replacement for the second time. The first replacement was because of image retention, now it's because of distracting, disturbing yellow tint at the bottom left portion of the screen. It shows signs of yellowing at bottom right too, but that portion is the epicenter of the worst uneveness.

Now I'm using my old white Unibody Macbook. Not really a hi-fi display, but at least it doesn't show a urine-yellow spot in a big display portion.

So I plan on going to the apple store later today. The backlight bleeding has really been starting to bother me too. I'm going to first compare my screen to the others and see if I have a bad yellow tint than im going to ask about the backlight bleeding and question if another device will have the same kind of bleed.

I'll try to post photos comparing. If I get a new device I'm praying there aren't anymore issues since I'm leaving for college Sunday. :/

So I got my new macbook. I compared to the model in the store and it was clear my screen was warmer/had more of a yellow tiny. I tried to capture it as a photo again but it didn't come out too well.

As for the screenbleed in my last laptop here is an image

My new replacement laptop it slightly better with it.

Here is a comparison of the store model vs my old laptop

And my new replacement which is the same model screen but seems to have the whites a bit whiter. Perhaps it still has a slight yellow tint but its not really noticable to me.

You should have shown the Preferences panel because the yellowing is more obviously seen in the greys.

Here's a photograph I took today. I was at the BestBuy and I noticed that they had a 15" Retina MacBook Pro sitting next to a 15" Classic MacBook Pro. So I took a photograph. Neither unit is mine; both are in the store. Left is the Retina; right is the Classic. I circled some things in the shot that I think are noteworthy. It can clearly be seen in the greys of the Preferences panel on the Retina that the display is yellow tinted. This contradicts some earlier statements I've made that in-store Retina units won't be yellow tinted because surely they can be. But you can also see that both displays are set to D65 which means a 6500 K white point. So why do they look different? Which one is showing 6500 K white point correctly? The Retina? The Classic? Both? Neither?
