Q: MacBook Pro Retina display burn-in?

I first noticed this after my MBP [Retina] had gone to sleep, but: when returning to the login screen (since I have it set to require a password whenever the computer is idle long enough) I noticed what appeared to a very faint ghosting primarily noticeable on darker backgrounds.

After messing around with it a bit, there seems to be a fairly consistent in-display ghosting that occurs without much time at all; I was able to leave my screen on (a little above half-brightness) for about 10-15 minutes and the ghosted "burn" would be of the screen I left it on (which I deliberately reconfigured so that everything would be a new position).

Has anyone else experienced this? Is this a normal thing that I just have to get used to? It's not really noticeable at all in standard use.

MacBook Pro (Retina, Mid 2012), Mac OS X (10.7.4)

Thanks, Sound Evolution! I suppose the grass is always greener, huh? lol...I was actually HOPING for another LG, because the first one I had was awesome.

I hate to think the amount of resources we're blowing through with these back and forth shipments. Quite the carbon footprint we're leaving here between the jet fuel, FedEx trucks, and of course all these extra machines that we're causing to have to be manufactured, especially for us. I've seen one or two posts with standard config's, but by and large, we're mostly BTO'ers here, it looks like.

Remember the iPad 2's in the beginning? Yellow-ish screen with plenty of screen bleeding. I went through two returns with that one, too. Which brings me to yet another shipment notification from Apple that I just received: the iPhone 5. Boy, the screen on that thing had better be... - @#$%^&*(  - ....really good! Yea, that's how I meant to say it. I don't even want to know who all makes the screens for those.

Definitely looks like week 38 hasn't changed then, just a few lucky people.  Mine is very close build number to yours, I will update later today once I've got my hands on it.  I will be interested to see my experience over the next couple of months if it turns out to be LG.

Week 38 - BTO 2.6/16/256 - My third retina MBP arrived a day early and its a SAMMY!!!

Third time was a charm for me...havent found any other problems, looking for mura and dead pixels but nothing yet, good luck to all those still fighting. Returning my LG tomorrow, I'll try and take some pics to show comparisons between the two machines.

You guys are lucky, I'm on my third LG (from yesterday!) and it has IR on day 1...

I'm returning my former one today. I might pick a new one on the spot, not sure.

Maybe I should order one online instead? Perhaps the Apple Store Montreal doesn't have many of the tricked out rMBP, and perhaps the other ones in the batch they have are likely to have been produced with the same components at the same  time period :-(

Just out of the blue like that, anyone with a Samsung display who had any issues on day 1, or developed over time?
