Ipod nano white screen.

I have an Ipod Nano, the latest one, not sure what genration this would be as its not written on it, anyway its very new, so recently the screen just went white, I was listening to music and this continued to play with the white screen.

So I tried the reset with the buttons, this appeared to have worked for a few seconds but then it reverted to the white screen, so I synchronised it and restored it to the same affect, that is it was fine for a few seconds then back to a white screen.

Finally I tried a restore from the disconnect screen, same affect, so I am not sure what to try now as there seems to be nothing wrong but a software glitch that won't reset.

Any advice greatfully received.😕

You have a 6th generation.

Anyway, try letting the battery drain until the display shuts off. Should take long as battery life isn't super on those 😉.

If letting the battery drain and the charging back up does not fix it, I would attribute it to a software issue.

hi

Try putting the iPod into disk mode:

Reset the device (press the Sleep and Volume Down buttons simultaneously until the display turns black—about eight seconds).

When the display turns black, hold down the Volume Down and Volume Up buttons simultaneously until the device enters Disk mode.

While the device is in disk mode, sync it to iTunes and try to restore.

hi

but how do you know when the ipod entered Disk mode???

Mine remained black for a long time

and then it turns white again

weird thing is i can connect it to iTunes and still put songs in it

BUT THE SCREEN IS STILL WHITE 😢
