If I buy a new iPhone 3GS on eBay, can I transfer the SIM card from my current iPhone 3GS into the new one and will it still work?

I have an 8GB iPhone 3GS on AT&T, and I wanted to purchase a 16GB version on eBay. Will I be able to just pop the SIM card out of the current iPhone 3GS into the new iPhone 3GS and have it work properly?

Yes, you will be able to use it provided that the 16GB version of 3GS is either factory unlocked or locked to AT&T network (in case of a carrier locked phone).
