Can you/should you defrag an iPhone/iPad?

Sorry to trouble you all but can you or should you defrag an iPhone/iPad?

I have deleted a number of apps and other files ( Notes etc.) and wondered whether or not the phone still keeps the image in the background clogging up memory?

Your help is gratefully appreciated.

There is no "defrag" function in either iOS or OS X. The OS takes care of itself and no intervention is needed or even possible on your end.
