Q: "Itune component not installed.

I continue to get a messege that -Repair or reinstall: -42404.  I have uninstalled my application, reinstalled it, updated, where do I go now?  I am trying to authorize my original computer-cannot sync all apps

iPod touch, iOS 4.3.1

Although you're getting a different error message, I'd try the following document with that one:

 

iTunes: Missing folder or incorrect permissions may prevent authorization
