Q: Iphones 3G on iPad as hotspot

I have an iPad 2 wifi/3G. I'm just wondering if I can connect it to my iPhone 4 3G as a hotspot and not use up my iPad 2's 3G time? Thanks

iPad 2 Wi-Fi + 3G, iOS 5.1.1

    Yes, as long as your carrier provides tethering as an option or you pay for it as an additional feature. If you have "Personal Hotspot" listed in the iPhone's Settings turn it on then select it in the iPad's WiFI entering the password listed on the iPhone.

     

    If Personal Hotspot is not listed your carrier does not support tethering or you must pay extra for a tethering plan.
