I am able to create a yahoo account but I cannot see the folders I created on yahoo on my mac - any ideas?

Is the yahoo inbox shown in Mail's Inbox?
Are the boxes shown in the On My Mac section?
The folders are ones I have created in yahoo such as "general", holidays etc.
The Yahoo inbox is shown in the Inbox listing in mail (alongside iCloud which si the other account I have)
No, they are not shown in the On my Mac section. There is a section for the iCloud account which has the iCloud folders in it but no section for the Yahoo account?
Is Yahoo under Sent also?
Not sure, but might try creating say the General Mailbox in On My Mac, then what I don't know, but can't hurt.
Is there anything in the the General MB on Yahoo? Do things there use a rule to put them in that box?
Yahoo is in on the Sent list. nothing I can see on the Yahoo site. I have created the Yahoo account on my iPad and I can see all of the folders on the iPad?
