home sharing

I have 2 laptops. 1 Macbook and 1 HP. I have different songs loaded on each one and want to merge the two into one itunes account. I have turned on home sharing on both computers and help is telling me to open itunes from Sharing, but no Sharing section is showing up on either computer for me to add songs from one to the other.
