i just bought a new macbook pro, and i just transfer my files to the new mac. my logic pro 9 "upgrade" is asking me to put a serial #. i did and its not going thourgh. i have my logic pro 8. can i use that serial # to get it started.

You enter your Logic Pro 9 serial number, if that happens to be an upgrade number, you are then required to also enter a serial number for a full retail version of Logic Pro 8 or earlier. As an alternative for an old serial number you can also connect your old XSKey.
