I have an iPod Touch that connects to other networks and has wifi BUT does not connect to the internet... i just got it yesterday so i havent put any itunes in it.
iPod touch, iOS 5
- Reset the iPod. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on your router
- Go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings.

- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
wait.... i don't know whis iOS ihave though.. D: i just got it last night.. its a white iPod touch 8G
The iOS does not make a difference. You have a 4G iPod with a recent iOS, at least iOS 5.
i resetted my iPod but now it's making me reactivate it i'm at the spot where it says wifi networks, i dont know how to link it to my computer
I'm also tryin to connect it to an HP commputer not an apple
What does a computer have to do with anything? The reset that I provided instructions for is just a like a forced reboot of a computer.

You may be better off visiting someone with more experience. Making an Appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store would be good.

What do you mean by "Okay, but do i have to get itunes to get on the internet to make my imessage and facetime"? iTunes on the iPod is where yu purchase music and podcast and some other media.

Ignore that reply >.< but i rebooted my router and i reset my iTouch like you said but i still can't get on the internet... and i have full signals. I also can't get it to connect to my wifi at home
