Q: This update seems to have cause an issue....

This update seems to have cause an issue controlling a remote computer with two displays when the primary display is on the right.

It worked fine before now it can't see the primary display and the secondary (left hand screen) appears on the right.

Any one else having problems with dual screen?

Apple remote desktop, Mac OS X (10.7.4)

Yes, very similar problem here. I was monitoring another user's iMac (running 10.6.8) with a second display from my iMac (also 10.6.8). Admin iMac is running ARD 3.5.2 and client is running 3.5.3. The extra screen IS on the left.

In the past, it used to work fine. I could observe both displays together and one at a time. After the newest update, it is barely usable. When both are viewed simultaneously, the images of the desktops have "shifted" over. What should be display 2, on the left, is blank. The second window over shows display 2. To the right of that, I see a clipped view of display 1 (the iMac).

When selecting Display 2, I get a blank window. When selecting Display 1, I see the screen correctly.

No amount of tinkering has been able to "fix" this.

Yes, same here. I even tried to delete the 3.5.3 and install the 3.5.2 and 3.5.1 again, but the issue still remained the same.

I saw this before I had updated all the machines, so I deselected that updater from a few machines, but the ones I updated are now barely usable as you say.

I will send in some feedback here: http://www.apple.com/feedback/remotedesktop.html

    You should too.

Ultimately, I went to a Time Machine backup to pull my 3.5.1 Admin. I left the clients at 3.5.3. This actually worked for me. Multiple displays appear as they should.

Another thing I observed is related to repsonse time of the cursor. While running Admin 3.5.2, I noticed a significant lag when moving the mouse around, even on single display Macs. After reverting back, it was snappy once again.

I did submit a bug report about both of those issues. Hopefully, somebody at Apple will be able to fix the problems for the next update.

I am having exactly the same problem as IntrigueGraphics. Shifting the second display to the right corrects it.

I noticed it first with the 3.5.3 Client update, but it may have been 3.5.2.

    ARD 3.5.2, 3.5.3 Clients. 10.6.8 on all.

Just as a data point, I'm having the same issue. I'll have to try reverting to 3.5.1 when I have time.
