I have a problem with my itouch

I have a problem with my iPod. When I touch the screen for example: to enter a number for my passcode. It makes me touch the number then double tap to make it enter. It does this for everything, and it doesn't allow me to open my games. I have upload the latest software but it didnt do anything help?
